Serving Scottsdale
We are based in Scottsdale. Not "we serve Scottsdale." Based here, which means service response measured in days rather than in dispatch queues.
Sun is the enemy in this market, and it is not close. There is no snow load here and no ice. What there is instead is relentless UV, and it destroys consumer-grade lighting. Cheap plastic housings chalk and yellow. Lens material clouds. Adhesives fail. Insulation on cheap wire goes brittle. A retail-box system that looks fine in December looks visibly tired by the following summer and is failing by the one after. Everything we install is specified for outdoor UV exposure, because in Phoenix that is not an upgrade - it is the baseline requirement.
Monsoon sealing is the second requirement. Monsoon season runs July through September and brings sudden wind and driven rain. Every junction box and fixture we install is sealed and outdoor-rated. A system that only has to survive mild weather will find monsoon season, and it will find it at the connections.
Warm white, and restraint. This matters as much as the hardware. Desert architecture - stucco, stone, clean parapet lines, mature landscaping - looks extraordinary lit in warm white and amber, and looks cheap lit in saturated multi-color. Our default palette here is warm white with amber accents, tuned to the stucco and stone on your specific house. If you want color for December we can absolutely do it, and we will design it so it reads as intentional rather than as a retail display.
The install window here is longer than the northern markets. No snow means October through December is comfortable, and we can work later in December than a Michigan or Minnesota crew can. That said, the calendar still fills, and permanent installs are scheduled year-round.
Custom-designed, not packaged. Every property is walked and measured before we quote. Scottsdale rooflines are often long, low, and flat-parapeted rather than steeply gabled, which is a different lighting problem than a pitched northern roof and needs a different plan.

Why permanent lighting is the bigger product here
In our northern markets, permanent lighting is a nice upgrade over seasonal. In Scottsdale it is the main event, and the reason is that this is a year-round outdoor-living climate.
You bought a house with a patio, a pool, a ramada, and mature desert landscaping, and you use them from roughly October through May - nearly every evening. Lighting is what determines whether that space is usable and beautiful after sundown or whether it is a dark yard with a pool in it. That has nothing to do with the holidays.
A permanent system handles both jobs from one install. Warm white as the standing setting - architectural lighting on the facade, uplighting on the palms and specimen plants, definition on the patio and pool deck. Then whatever you want in December, changed from your phone in seconds. One install, twelve months of genuine use, no ladder, no seasonal crew visit.
The holiday season is six weeks. Outdoor-living season here is eight months. Design for the eight.
